Overview

The Allied brand has been developed and strengthened by the consolidation of several service companies. Berrena's Refrigeration, PHE Mechanical and Spickler's Electric were previously independent companies that now form Allied Mechanical and Electrical, offering a broad range of capabilities with efficient quality service.

Allied's Call Center quickly scans the area using GPS technology and connects the caller with the nearest of over 70 technicians. Our fully integrated operating system and data base stores customer and equipment histories for improved service and easily accessible information on replacement parts and warranties.

The Allied brand is designed to represent the relationship between our company and its employees as well as between us and our business associates, but most importantly it describes the relationship we strive to maintain with our customers.

Company Structure

Allied Mechanical and Electrical is based on delivery procedures of the four main service divisions; commercial projects, commercial service, residential projects and residential service. Managers within these divisions are proficient in contract management, parts and inventory management and compliance standards. Our electricians, plumbers, HVAC mechanics, welders and technicians are specialized in their respective systems in order to provide unsurpassed quality service.

History

The company formed in 1988 under the name State College Electric. Within just a few years, the company expanded to include plumbing, heating and additional services. State College Electric and Mechanical became Allied with the acquisition of L.C. Anderson in the late 90's and then continued to grow into 2003/2004 with the addition of service companies; PHE, Spickler's and Berrena's. A logo was developed in 2008 to represent the contribution of each holding as well as the combined services of Allied Mechanical and Electrical.

Allied Mechanical and Electrical is the comprehensive provider of installations and service pertaining to electrical, plumbing, heating/air conditioning and food/beverage service systems. We accommodate both residential and commercial markets throughout the area of central Pennsylvania.

Locations

Allied Mechanical and Electrical's corporate offices and call center are conveniently located in State College, with branch offices in Mifflintown and Huntingdon. From these service points, we reach valued customers in the counties of Blair, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Cumberland, Dauphin, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Perry, Snyder and Union.

Ownership and Management

Robert E. Poole is the owner of Allied, and has been successful in delivering high quality construction of residential and commercial real estate for holdings such as S&A Homes and Poole Anderson Construction. Todd Strawser co-founded Allied and has served as general manager since 1988. This dedicated management team holds true to philosophies of quality service and consumer justice. Allied remains focused on continual improvement of the service delivery process.
